If you’re looking for tickets to Man U’s 2011 US tour, you’re lucky the prices are staying as they are. Today United announced a price increase for the 2011-12 season, in the wake of Arsenal announcing an increase of their own. The increase amounts to one pound per match, which sounds like not much but it can mount up. here in the USA, Manchester United tickets remain the same, though, as fans come out to buy and look forward to some of the United matches on their 2011 off-season schedule. Man U vs. Barcelona is undoubtedly going to be one of the best games ever seen on American soil. When United play Barca in Washington DC, we will very likely see a repeat of the 2011 UEFA Champions League Final, and there may well be a score to settle for someone. The MLS All-Star game also could hold some drama, as American soccer improves every year and in the cauldron like atmosphere of Red Bull Arena we will hopefully see the fans rooting for the local team. Last year’s Man U vs. MLS All-Stars was a grand spectacle, in Houston’s Reliant Stadium, and many have questions the choice of Red Bull Arena for 2011, as it is significantly smaller. We will have to wait and see if this diminishes the gravity of the game.

United playing in America for the second season on the bounce has many people wondering why, as they clearly have huge inroads to make in the Asian market, but American soccer is gaining ground all the time. There are several great American players in the MLS, abroad in the English Premier League and the German Bundesliga, but to many American soccer fans seeing MUFC play in their homeland is a dream come true. Many have spent years watching Ryan Giggs, Wayne Rooney, Patrice Evra and Edwin Van de Sar on television, but now it is their reality. Who knows, maybe a Man U star will eventually move over here and play out his autumn years in America. That would be fantastic. Those Man United US tour tickets are still selling and they’re going to be selling out completely very soon. Make sure you are in the stands when the Red Devils hit your town!
